This Defence Standard defines the arrangements that a Supplier is required to establish to demonstrate that they are actively planning and managing the risk of counterfeit materiel entering their supply chain. To comply with the standard the Supplier shall describe the followingrequirements: - Define and document their policy - Roles and responsibilities - Competence, training and awareness- Purchasing - Test and Verification- Control of Non Conforming Materiel - Reporting of Counterfeit Materiel- Additional Requirements for Suppliers who are Manufacturers
This document may be quoted in any Obsolescence Management contractual requirements to address the lack of guidance in the International Standard IEC62402; on how to avoid counterfeit materiel being introduced to the supply chain.
